Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Duke University. As a key member of our Echocardiography Department, you will be responsible for performing daily clinical operations, including echocardiograms, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms, including 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, Doppler, Transesophageal, and Stress Echocardiogram procedures.
- Operate equipment necessary to perform all required procedures and obtain optimal diagnostic recordings.
- Maintain equipment in working order, making minor adjustments and repairs as needed.
- Analyze patient medical records to obtain history of symptoms and necessary information for performance of diagnostic procedures.
- Prepare preliminary reports for review and interpretation by Cardiologists.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, evaluating procedure results for technical quality and accuracy.
- Graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification or currently holds required registry or certification.
- ARDMS/CCI certification in Echocardiography.
- BLS certification.
