GENERAL FUNCTION:

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:

To successfully fulfill this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The qualifications listed below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A High School diploma or GED; or at least one year of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain awareness of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.

2. Perform custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, and dusting.

3. Sanitize restrooms on a daily basis.

4. Operate necessary equipment used in custodial work.

5. Clean chalkboards and dry erase boards.

6. Clean windows, blinds, and drapes.

7. Collect and dispose of trash daily.

8. Dust and clean furniture on a scheduled basis.

9. Be available for work during irregular hours if required.

10. Adhere to uniform requirements as provided by Hinds Community College.

11. Perform additional duties as assigned by the appropriate authority.

12. Maintain a valid driver's license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
