Job Overview

The Registered Nurse Staff plays a vital role in delivering and documenting professional nursing care to patients, adhering to established treatment protocols and healthcare policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employ the Nursing Process, including Assessment, Planning, Nursing Diagnosis, Implementation, and Evaluation, to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Utilize statistical analysis and scientific principles to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education on treatment plans, health maintenance, and preventive measures.
  • Implement de-escalation techniques and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) strategies as needed.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities as a charge nurse, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.
  • Act as a resource for nursing staff, assisting in resolving work-related challenges.
  • Participate in the Clinical Ladder program and engage in additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in South Carolina.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary.
