About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Music Theory Instructor to join our team at the American Straight A Academy. As a Music Theory Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality online instruction to students worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach AP Music Theory to students in a one-on-one or group setting
  • Utilize pre-existing teaching materials to ensure comprehensive understanding of the subject matter
  • Assess and grade students' performance, providing constructive feedback to facilitate academic progress
  • Ensure timely completion of the curriculum within designated timelines
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field; Master's or Ph.D. preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in Music Theory, with high school teaching experience considered advantageous
  • Able to offer 4-6 available time slots per week
  • Cooperative demeanor with staff, a passion for teaching, and a flexible schedule for evenings and weekends
