Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Rehabilitation Technician to join our team at Rimrock Foundation. As a key member of our therapeutic team, you will provide essential support to patients in our residential programs, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide therapeutic supervision to assigned patients, including rounds at residential sites to ensure security and adherence to program schedules.
  2. Report incidents, unusual events, and emergencies to the Supervisor and nurse on duty, in accordance with Rimrock's policies and procedures.
  3. Assist patients with therapy and task assignments as needed, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment.
  4. Monitor visitors and ensure no contraband is brought into the facility.
  5. Administer drug screen protocol for patients and provide Motivational Enhancement Therapy to detox patients, as assigned.
  6. Monitor ED patients and program, attending all scheduled staff meetings and in-services.
  7. Follow guidelines outlined in the employee handbook and assist with food service and patient supervision in the dining room.
  8. Comply with regular, predictable, and reliable attendance and train new employees after completion of RT II requirements.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or GED required.
  2. Knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to communicate and work with patients with addictions.
  3. Attend monthly departmental sessions and in-services, viewing non-violent crisis intervention tapes/videos and attending related training.
  4. Complete 4 hours of CEU training annually.
Working Conditions

This position involves working indoors in an office environment with moderate noise. Intermittent physical effort is required, involving lifting up to 25 pounds, walking, and stooping. A typical workday involves walking, standing, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing, approximately 70% of the time.

Work may involve mental and emotional stress, and some driving is required. The primary work location is the main facility, although occasional work at another facility with adult or adolescent patients may be necessary.
