Medical Laboratory Assistant Opportunity

Bitterroot Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Hamilton, Montana.

Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Assistant will perform a variety of laboratory duties, including venipuncture and waived to moderately complex laboratory testing procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with laboratory testing procedures, including venipuncture and waived testing
  • Collect and process patient samples
  • Perform order entry duties and assist with answering phones
  • Collect additional patient information as needed and ensure patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) education or experience
  • Current Tier II Certified Phlebotomist with experience
  • MLA Certification (or completed by date on offer letter)
  • Bachelor of Science degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Additional languages preferred
  • Proficient computer skills
