Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wellness Coach to join our team at the YMCA of Delaware. As a Wellness Coach, you will play a critical role in delivering our Diabetes Prevention Program, working with participants to help them achieve their health and wellness goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality program curriculum to participants, focusing on healthy living and wellness.
  • Cultivate a supportive and inclusive group environment, encouraging participant interaction and retention.
  • Track participant data and progress, ensuring accurate reporting and evaluation.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of participants, adhering to YMCA policies and best practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines, protecting participant health information.
Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with 2+ years of experience in a health and wellness environment.
  • Ability to obtain YMCA DPP & Livestrong coaches training within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
  • Degree in management or training, with experience in a team leading role.
