Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions and technologies to address communications engineering challenges for government sponsors.
  • Collaborate with MITRE mission specialists and engineers to support national security sponsors.
  • Apply your technical knowledge and skills to problem-solving and innovation.
  • Work on a diverse array of challenges, including military satellite communications, tactical data link messaging, and protected communications networks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, computer engineering, or related field, and a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or PhD with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with RF technologies, including RF equipment, RF systems engineering, or RF communications.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following areas: RF circuit design and troubleshooting, software defined radios (SDRs), digital signal processing (DSP), electromagnetic propagation, or types of RF and Microwave antennas.
  • Strong understanding of communication protocols, standards, and technologies relevant to military satellite communications, tactical data link messaging, DoD data links, and protected communications networks.
  • Proven ability and eagerness to quickly learn and apply new technologies and concepts in communication engineering.
  • Capacity to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Experience engaging with senior government leaders and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Active DOD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's and 8 years of experience in communication engineering principles, tools, and systems, with a focus on defense or national security applications or Master's and 6 years of experience.
  • Proven track record of working on projects related to defense, homeland security, or aerospace for one or more government agencies.
  • Demonstrated interdisciplinary background, showcasing continual learning and adaptation to new technologies and concepts.
  • Active TS/SCI
