RN Neuro Trauma Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Neuro Trauma Unit at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a RN Neuro Trauma, you will provide direct patient care and administrative support to our 23-bed intensive care step-down unit. Your role will involve working closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient's needs.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care dedicated to stroke and trauma, including titrating and vasoactive IV-drips.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Manage patients with high risk surgeries as well as ortho and trauma related surgeries.
- Instruct and educate patients and family members.
- Coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) License in NH or valid Compact State License.
- BLS and ACLS.
- Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia – (within 3 months from hire).
- PCCN Certification (preferred).
- TNCC Certification (preferred).
- TCAR Certification (preferred).
