We are seeking a qualified Outpatient Counselor to join our team at Cumberland Heights Foundation, Inc.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong passion for helping individuals overcome substance abuse and achieve long-term recovery. As an Outpatient Counselor, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to create personalized treatment plans that address the physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of recovery.

You will be responsible for conducting clinical evaluations, developing treatment plans, providing individual, family, and group counseling sessions, and coordinating referrals to community resources. Your expertise in evidence-based practices, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, will help patients develop the skills they need to maintain sobriety and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions to support patients in achieving their recovery goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate referrals to community resources and ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to promote healthy behaviors and prevent relapse.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have a Master's degree in a related field, such as counseling or social work, and relevant experience working with individuals with substance use disorders. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

A strong understanding of 12-Step principles and addiction treatment modalities is essential, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical records. We also require certification in crisis prevention/intervention, first aid, and CPR, and a commitment to practicing within professional codes of ethics.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $49,000 to $57,000 per year, depending on education and licensure. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, employer contributions to health savings accounts or reimbursement accounts, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off accrual beginning day one.
