Job Summary

Ascension is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to provide technical support for our Pharmacist team. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, maintaining automated dispensing systems, and preparing orders for the Pharmacy department.

Responsibilities

* Provide technical support for the Pharmacist team
* Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems
* Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the Pharmacy department
* Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds
* Repackage bulk medications
* Receive and store incoming supplies
* Triage incoming calls and serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing information

Requirements

* One or more of the following required: Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy
* High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
