Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting regular preventive maintenance to ensure the seamless operation of machinery and equipment. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing systems as necessary, utilizing the appropriate tools and equipment under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager or President.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on various equipment, including motors, belts, and hydraulic systems.
  • Execute repairs or replacements of defective components using suitable tools.
  • Maintain accurate logs of repairs and maintenance activities for all company-owned machinery and vehicles.
  • Assist in the procurement of necessary supplies and parts.
  • Oversee grounds maintenance, including landscaping and snow removal as required.
  • Demonstrate effective communication with vendors, customers, and team members.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a positive safety culture.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED. Relevant experience in maintenance is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
  • Experience with diesel engines and hydraulic systems is preferred.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and working at heights.
Working Conditions

This position involves both indoor and outdoor work, with varying temperatures throughout the seasons. Employees are required to provide their own safety-toed boots that meet specified standards.

Reporting Structure

The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the assigned Supervisor and may assist in training new personnel.
