As a Telecommunications Field Specialist at Verizon, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of our outside plant facilities.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the delivery of world-class telecommunications services.

  • You will be working on the installation, maintenance, and repair of our aerial, underground, submarine, buried, block, and house cables, poles, and associated hardware/fixtures.

  • Your duties will also include reading and interpreting engineering work orders, performing construction work using designated equipment, and operating Company motor vehicles.

  • In addition, you will be climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, perceiving differences in wire and cable colors, and moving/lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or the ability to obtain one is also required.

A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience are considered desirable.
