Position Summary:

As a Construction Engineering Technician at Jones & DeMille Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in achieving project objectives through effective communication and relationship management with clients.

Employment Type: Full-time

Reporting Structure:

· Reports directly to the Team Leader/Construction Engineering Project Manager

· Indirectly reports to Office Management and Project Management

Key Responsibilities:

In your capacity as a Construction Engineering Technician, you will contribute to our dynamic team by executing the following duties:

Construction Oversight

· Ensure systematic and consistent management of construction projects on-site

· Attend weekly meetings focused on Construction Engineering

· Prepare precise reports as directed by the Construction Engineering Project Manager, based on input from team members, contractors, and other stakeholders

· Conduct inspections of construction activities to verify compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications

· Document instances of non-compliance and assist in resolving issues

· Engage in project-related meetings, including design coordination, pre-construction, site inspections, and project closeout

· Cultivate client relationships through personalized communication and a commitment to integrity

· Facilitate communication and collaboration between office and field teams, reinforcing our dedication to service excellence

· Uphold our standards for superior client management and technical proficiency

· Regularly communicate significant project challenges to Construction Engineering Senior Specialists

Additional Responsibilities:

· Identify opportunities for cross-selling to strengthen existing client relationships

· Contribute to community engagement initiatives for the Construction Engineering Department

· Enhance professional skills through active participation in industry associations and ongoing education

· Adhere to all health and safety regulations set forth by the company and governing bodies

· Perform other duties as assigned by the Construction Engineering Project Manager.

Qualifications:

· Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Other Requirements:

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Occasional travel may be required

Physical Demands:

Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.

Work Environment:

Frequent travel to various project sites is necessary, with the potential for exposure to varying weather conditions and physical demands.

May require evening or overnight travel for out-of-town projects.
