Insight Global is on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated Senior Engineer - Highway to join our dynamic highway and transportation design team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering and nurturing client relationships while managing a variety of design projects. Responsibilities will encompass both small-scale enhancements, such as trails or pedestrian pathways, as well as extensive highway initiatives, including intersection upgrades and major road expansions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the design processes for a range of highway and transportation initiatives.
• Assume the lead role in larger transportation projects as the Highway Engineer.
• Manage and mentor design personnel across various offices, ensuring adherence to design standards and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to the formulation of project design fees and budget estimations.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, subconsultants, and relevant governmental and regulatory bodies.
• Travel occasionally to project or client locations for task completion or meetings.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in highway and transportation design.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong leadership skills to guide teams and promote cooperative efforts.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of permitting regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
• Proficient in design and plan preparation using MicroStation, along with a solid command of the MS Office suite.
• A valid driver's license with a record of safe driving practices.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Professional Engineer registration is a plus.
