Job Overview

As a vital member of our team, the Housekeeping Operations Manager will oversee the daily functions of the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are met. This role requires a proactive approach to managing staff and operations, along with a commitment to maintaining our esteemed reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ensure adherence to all operational protocols within the housekeeping department.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of and comply with all policies and procedures of Shaner Hotels.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members, ensuring compliance with training standards.
  • Analyze daily business levels, anticipate challenges, and devise effective solutions.
  • Prepare and adjust weekly work schedules based on staffing needs and labor forecasts.
  • Complete end-of-month reports to established standards.
  • Assist staff in their duties to guarantee excellent service to guests.
  • Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas.
  • Manage employee performance to foster productivity and a positive work environment.
  • Oversee the housekeeping department's annual budget.
  • Perform housekeeping and laundry tasks as necessary.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of management experience in housekeeping within the hospitality sector.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective communication skills with guests, management, and team members.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and equipment usage.
