Job Description

STP Management Corporation Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our financial reporting team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of funds' quarterly, semiannual, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and disclosure requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review of the funds' quarterly, semiannual and annual reports/financial statements, ensuring that all regulatory and disclosure requirements have been met.
  • Review regulatory filings as needed, including SEC Forms N-CSR, N-CEN, N-1A, N-MFP, N-PORT, and 17f-2 filings.
  • Provide strategic oversight of preparation of shareholder reports and regulatory filings and subsequently assess and communicate performance.
  • Act as a liaison between the auditor and client, ensuring partners meet timelines with quality work and that audit issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Lead team in completion of work for assigned reporting cycles.
  • Play a key role in identifying and implementing process improvements and play a lead in interactions with external and internal partners.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field from an accredited college or university required.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial reporting, fund accounting, and/or investment operations.
  • Knowledge of mutual funds and exchanged-traded financial reporting and regulatory filings.
  • Knowledge of calculation of NAV.
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SEC Regulation S-X, and Form N-1A, with the ability to provide expert advice on these standards during reporting cycles.
  • Knowledge of broader functions supporting daily mutual funds and exchange-traded fund operations.
  • A track record of identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements in financial reporting or related areas. Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving efficiency within reporting processes.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Experience using fund accounting and reporting systems such as Eagle.
  • Client onboarding experience preferred.
