Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of duties in preparing patients for imaging of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information.
- Operate various nuclear medicine equipment to produce diagnostic results and measure therapeutic radioactive materials in specific body areas.
- Monitor and record all radioactive materials received in the department for leakage or damage.
- Maintain and document all records as required by NRC and DEP.
- Prepare radioactive doses and materials for daily patient administration.
- Maintain quality control procedures on all equipment.
- Operate all nuclear imaging equipment and ancillary equipment thoroughly and with competence.
- Assist physician in performing procedures and computer enhancing of images.
- Bachelor's Degree Graduate of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Program Required.
- Training and experience in radiation safety and protection Required.
- Knowledge Nuclear Medicine Instrumentation, in-vivo and in-vitro procedures, computer programming and radiation safety.
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire Required or NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Tech Upon Hire Required and Possess current NJDEP licenses in Nuclear Medicine and Limited CT Fusion Upon Hire Required.
Full Time Days - M-F 9a-5:30p - call, every 3rd weekend +$1 - weekend differential
