The Café Service Expert plays a vital role in crafting both hot and cold beverages, guiding patrons through our extensive drink menu, and providing personalized recommendations tailored to their tastes. This position involves not only taking orders but also promoting special offerings to enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the highest standards in beverage preparation and presentation.
- Skillfully prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including specialty coffees and teas.
- Follow company recipes and guidelines meticulously.
- Ensure exceptional product presentation at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including dishwashing stations.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee products and communicate reordering needs to management.
- Check brewing equipment regularly for functionality and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Deliver attentive and friendly customer service, engaging with guests through eye contact and respectful conversation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and health standards in all operations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Provide timely and courteous service in line with company policies.
- Proficient in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Basic math skills are essential.
- Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Strong background in customer service is preferred.
- Outgoing personality conducive to guest relations.
- Familiarity with drink recipes and preparation techniques.
- Compliance with sanitation standards set by the company and local regulations.
- Adhere to scheduled shifts and punctuality.
- Participate in company meetings and training sessions as required.
- Assist in training new staff to meet LDV Hospitality's service standards.
- Follow uniform and grooming guidelines as outlined by the company.
- Complete other related duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within a reputable establishment is required. A high school diploma is mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly.
- Capability to bend, stoop, stand, and walk extensively for 8-10 hours a day.
- Manual dexterity and mobility suitable for the Barista role.
Work Environment:
Must be able to thrive in a high-volume setting, managing the associated noise and temperature variations. The ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism is essential.
