Job Summary:

As a Mental Health Worker at Butler Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care to individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues. Your primary responsibility will be to assist registered nurses in direct patient care, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit. You will also be responsible for communicating and meeting patients' needs for service, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist registered nurses in direct patient care, including activities of daily living
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Monitor and report any changes in patient condition or behavior
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a social science or related field preferred

Experience working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients

Excellent written and communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
