Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Digital Content Specialist to join our marketing team at InsideHigherEd. As a Digital Content Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy that showcases the Carroll community from a student perspective.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Creation: Develop and curate high-quality content for social media platforms, including text, images, and videos.
  • Content Calendar: Plan and schedule content in advance using a content calendar to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments and messages on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
  • Analytics: Track and analyze engagement metrics to inform future content decisions and optimize social media strategy.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment and consistency across all marketing channels.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience in social media marketing or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Software: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and InDesign.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Illustrator/InDesign: Experience with Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Strong Writing Skills: Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Creativity: Ability to think creatively and develop innovative content ideas.
