About the Role

Bakersfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team in the laboratory department. As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results, which are essential for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform moderate and high complexity testing in areas of Blood Bank, Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, Microbiology, Serology, and Urinalysis.
  • Follow established laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, analysis, and result reporting for patient specimens.
  • Rotate in other departments, work weekends and holidays, and cover other shifts as supervisor determines need.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) in the state of California.
  • Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications.
