Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets to achieve organizational goals
    • Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors and senior management
    • Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to inform business decisions
  • Accounting and Financial Reporting
    • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
    • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Investment and Asset Management
    • Manage the credit union's investment portfolio to maximize returns and minimize risk
    • Develop and implement asset liability management strategies to ensure the credit union's financial stability
    • Monitor and report on investment performance and asset quality
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including NCUA and IRS regulations
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance

  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage a team of accounting and financial professionals
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff have the necessary skills and knowledge
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to support their career development
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in banking or credit union accounting
  • CPA and CCUE qualifications preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other spreadsheet and financial analysis programs
  • Proficiency in Symitar and other credit union software preferred
