Customer Service Associate Role

The Wawa organization is seeking a skilled Customer Service Associate to join our team. As a valued member, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional customer experience that supports Wawa's vision to fulfill lives every day.
In this position, you will work closely with the store management team to facilitate various tasks, including customer service, food and beverage preparation, cash register duties, general housekeeping, and other related functions. Your primary goal will be to provide a positive and engaging experience for all customers, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
Your responsibilities will include greeting customers, responding to requests and complaints in a timely manner, utilizing the GREAT customer service and customer recovery model, communicating effectively with the management team, operating the cash register, scanning items, bagging merchandise, and handling different payment methods. You will also be responsible for maintaining proper cash levels in the register drawer and change machines, activating fuel and gift cards, and assisting with lottery purchases as needed.
In addition, you will comply with federal and state laws by requesting personal identification from customers purchasing restricted products, stock and refill product within designated areas, perform customer fuel transactions, monitor activities at the fuel court, stop fuel pumps if necessary, prepare made-to-order food and beverages according to recipe or customer specifications, and ensure the proper execution of assigned foodservice and beverage programs and procedures.
To succeed in this role, you will need excellent customer service skills, ability to work well individually and in a team environment, good communication skills, and the capacity to learn FSRA processes and procedures. You must be able to perform physical behaviors such as standing, walking, handling, reaching, grasping firmly, and lifting up to 35 lbs. You will also be required to work safely with equipment that can create and hold high temperatures using appropriate personal protective equipment.
This opportunity comes with a competitive hourly salary range of $17.50-$21.50, which may be adjusted based on experience and location. Furthermore, eligible Associates will receive a $1.50 shift differential for hours worked between 12am-6am.
