Rush University System for Health, a renowned healthcare institution, is seeking an experienced Palliative Care Advanced Practice Provider to join their team at Rush University Medical Center.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $180,000 based on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

This 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday position will function as part of an outpatient and inpatient teams supporting both palliative medicine and chronic pain patients. The Section of Palliative Medicine currently has 4 APP team members and conduct consultations for pain and symptom management in patients with chronic medical illnesses and participate in provision of medical information to patients with life-limiting illness including illness understanding, and goals of care planning as well as coping with serious illness.

  • The successful applicant would participate in educational activities and quality improvement initiatives.

Team Dynamics

Rush has over 400 APPs across the enterprise that provide comprehensive patient care each day autonomously and in collaboration with other members of the health care team. With our Director of Advanced Practice and 27 Lead APPs across the system, Rush's vision is to have every APP practicing at full scope and top of license.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience. The successful applicant must meet all state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.
