We are seeking a skilled Mechanic - Electric Motor Repair Specialist to join our team at Integrated Power Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of electric motors, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Disassemble and assemble electric motor components using hand and power tools.
- Perform disassembly, cleaning, requalification, rework, and assembly operations on traction motor combo components.
- Inspect work completed on components to internal inspection criteria for compliance to quality or engineering requirements.
- Install bolts, retaining clips, screws, or otherwise fasten parts together in proper order and configuration.
- Inspect components and complete assemblies for conformity, following all component handling procedures.
- Abide by and conform to all company rules and policies, as well as follow all safety policies and work in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High School graduate or equivalent course work in skilled crafts or trades training.
- One year minimum industry experience in manufacturing or transportation and/or training.
- Possess basic ship math skills and ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Familiarity with brazing or soldering.
- Ability to use mechanical and pneumatic tools, electrical test equipment, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and hands-on.
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Regularly required to stand for 8 hours at a time, with minimal breaks.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to see and observe small handwriting, labels, and components.
- Regularly required to operate heavy machinery, including but not limited to forklifts and cranes.
- Regularly required to wear steel-toed shoes and safety glasses at all times.
- Required to be on-site during scheduled shift to perform daily duties and responsibilities.
