Job Responsibilities
  • Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital, ensuring accurate medical necessity checks and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls while providing excellent customer service.
  • Utilize quality auditing and reporting systems to ensure accounts are corrected, conducting audits of accounts and providing statistical data to Patient Access leadership.
  • Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits, obtaining demographic, insurance, and financial information, including collecting point-of-service collections and past due balances.
