About the Opportunity:

In support of our federal client, DMI is seeking a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) System Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will report to our Operations Manager and be responsible for supporting and troubleshooting RHEL issues related to performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and troubleshoot RHEL issues related to performance and compliance
  • Assist in managing all aspects of information technology (IT) system security as it applies to the Risk Management Framework
  • Conduct investigations in anomalies found during audit trail analysis
  • Assist with regular vulnerability scans, improvements, and patching of RHEL systems
  • Investigate and resolve RHEL problems
  • Use skills, knowledge, and resources to diagnose, determine, and solve RHEL related problems
  • Stay current with RHEL developments
  • Help prepare for IT hardware replacements and upgrades
  • Maintain and enforce Government computer and information security policies and procedures
  • Interface with the customer, other team members, and vendors as required
  • Provide support to our organizational Information Assurance team as required
  • Perform various administration duties as needed

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of IT experience as a RHEL System Administrator
  • IT related Bachelor of Science Degree is highly desirable
  • CompTIA SEC+ Certification
  • RHCSA (7.X) Certification
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Thorough understanding of IT operating systems/environments
  • Thorough understanding of system administration principles
  • Experience with Red Hat Satellite and Ansible
  • Experience with VMware and Middleware
  • Citizenship Status: Must be a United States Citizen
  • Security Clearance: SECRET
