Position Overview:

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the comprehensive construction process to guarantee that projects are executed safely, adhering to design specifications, budget constraints, and timelines. This role involves collaboration with client representatives, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and actively advocate for all Safety protocols and procedures, including the reporting of all accidents, incidents, and near-misses to uphold our foremost Core Value – Safety first, in all operations.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating Department to review project specifications.
  • Partner with the Project Engineer and Superintendent to create and sustain a project schedule with relevant attributes.
  • Prepare and submit preliminary documentation such as submittals, introductory correspondence, subcontractor approvals, and breakdowns of work items.
  • Establish a submittal log, project organization chart, and material storage strategy.
  • Initiate project startup and closeout documentation, submitting copies to the construction department while maintaining project files.
  • Authorize the budget prior to the commencement of construction activities.
  • Oversee all facets of cost management for the project.
  • Provide quarterly cost revisions with explanations for any variances.
  • Submit monthly change order logs to the regional office.
  • Coordinate and manage all project activities with the Project Superintendent/General Superintendent to ensure milestones are achieved and job continuity is preserved.
  • Conduct weekly project meetings.
  • Prepare and review periodic estimates with the owner's representative/Resident Engineer, submitting an approved original estimate or pencil sheet copy to the regional office with the appropriate subcontractor quantity division.
  • Participate in final punch list inspections and/or closeout meetings, completing final documentation.
  • Maintain communication with the project Owner and Architect/Engineer to facilitate the reduction of retainage and final payment, effectively closing out the jobsite office.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive and successful experience in the civil construction industry.
  • Proficient in budget management, scheduling, quality control, and knowledgeable in all construction phases.
  • OSHA 10 Certification is required.
