Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cook to join our team at Clean Plate Restaurant Group. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to meet the expectations of our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Primary Responsibilities:
    • Read, comprehend, and consistently execute established recipes.
    • Listen to and comprehend kitchen supervisor instructions.
    • Familiarize yourself with common cooking terms and be able to measure or weigh ingredients when appropriate.
    • Follow sanitation and safety procedures to protect against contaminants.
    • Properly portion, plate, and garnish guest plates for guest satisfaction.
    • Use ingredients, cooking methods, and established recipes to ensure consistency and guest expectations.
    • Keep working stations clean during shifts.
    • Behave in a manner consistent with our expectations, including wearing full uniforms and communicating at desirable tone levels.
    • Be trained on all equipment before use and operate safely thereafter.
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Check the accuracy of delivered goods against invoices.
    • Properly store and rotate products to ensure freshness.
    • Carefully handle perishable products and store them properly.
    • Set and stock your own station, using the oldest product first and filling clean containers for new batches.
    • Remove transfer utensils and re-wrap products left in storage.
  • All Employees Responsibilities:
    • Provide first-class guest service at all times.
    • Adhere to all restaurant policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent guest service skills, energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and establish a positive rapport with various personalities.
  • Detail-oriented with knowledge of common ingredients, cooking procedures, and safety and sanitation.
  • Ability to use all senses to assist in preparations and seasonings to ensure taste consistency.
  • Team player with the ability to work well with others in Front and Back of the House positions.
