About the Role

In this exciting opportunity, you will work under the general direction of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program Manager to support state departments in achieving their DEI goals. You will be responsible for creating and executing a DEI strategic plan, developing policies, tools, and training, engaging with stakeholders, and using data and information to strengthen internal DEI efforts and advance equity in state service.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a DEI strategic plan to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in state departments
  • Develop policies, tools, and training programs to support DEI initiatives
  • Engage with stakeholders to build partnerships and promote DEI efforts
  • Analyze data and information to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide guidance and support to state departments on DEI-related matters

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as diversity and inclusion, organizational development, or human resources
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related field, including experience in creating and implementing DEI initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • A strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a passion for promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect
