About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Architect to lead our software development and integration efforts for a complex US Navy system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the integration of a complex system of systems for US Navy platforms
  • Oversee software development activities, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
  • Identify, quantify, and prioritize solutions to address technical issues
  • Schedule development of and prioritize software features
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including sponsors and partners
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless integration
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems Security, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience leading development and integration teams for complex systems
  • Proficiency in recommending and obtaining proper approval for deviations from established policies and procedures
  • Experience with version control systems, including Git or Perforce and Git Flow branching schemes
  • Extensive experience with designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Active Secret security clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret level clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems Security, or related field
  • 10-15 years of experience with US Navy Combat Systems, weapons, sensors, or other related operational military technology
  • Previous experience leading system design and/or architecture development for a complex system in current operational use
  • Experience planning for and leading complex hardware and/or software integration activities
  • Understanding of software architectures and networking and Linux
  • Ability to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of integration design patterns, security best practices, and communication protocols/techniques
