Crane Operator

At Diligent Services, we're seeking a highly skilled Crane Operator - Class B CDL to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you'll be responsible for delivering materials and equipment to construction sites, ensuring timely and safe service.

• Operate a knuckle boom flatbed truck safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational readiness.
• Load and unload materials using the knuckle boom, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.
• Assess and optimize load distribution to enhance vehicle performance and safety.
• Identify and propose new insights and improvements to business practices, fostering a culture of innovation and curiosity.
• Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to share best practices and enhance operational efficiency.
• Work closely with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and service requests.
• Support colleagues in achieving team goals and embodying the core value of teamwork.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of self and others during operations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and maintenance as required by company policy and regulatory standards.

• Class A or B CDL license for over 5 years.
• Crane experience (Hiab, PM, and or Palfinger) also plus (NCCCO certification is preferred).
• Physically fit to perform the job, which requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to safely operate a knuckle boom flatbed truck.
• Comfortable driving in and out of tight construction job sites and downtown areas.
• Ability to perform a daily, 360-degree inspection of the truck and equipment before taking the vehicle out on the road and upon return.
