Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Banquet Manager to oversee various social and private events at our banquet and conference center. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing events and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure flawless execution of events.
  • Schedule staffing while keeping within established budgets and guidelines.
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff to ensure proper execution of events and high guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain regular and ongoing communication with waitstaff throughout each function.
  • Organize pre- and post-event meetings with waitstaff.
  • Work with the team to ensure compliance with food handling, table setting, and uniform standards.
  • Prepare, execute, and properly close events and respective event spaces.
  • Responsible for scheduling staff, building operations, ordering, and inventories.
  • Attend weekly meetings with Operations, Kitchen, Executive Management, and Sales Departments.

Qualifications:

  • The candidate must have verifiable work experience consisting of 3-5 years in a catering management position.
  • Flexibility in schedule is a must, including the availability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • The ideal candidate must possess a comprehensive understanding of guest service, banquets/catering, and excellent leadership skills.
  • The candidate should have excellent personal presentation and strong interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should be a team player, working with guests and team members.
