Key Responsibilities
  • Project Financial Analysis: Responsible for generating financial reports, regulatory reporting, and project cost oversight.
  • Month-End Close Process: Assist with timely month-end close process working in an ERP system.
  • Project Cost Accounting: Work closely with project management team on project cost accounting, including monthly WIP calculations.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent internal and external customer service and support.
  • Annual Audit: Coordinate activities for annual audit.
  • Special Projects: Assist Controller with special projects and research as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Accounting: Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar required.
  • Progressive Accounting Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including general accounting (AR/AP).
  • Construction Industry Experience: Construction industry and basic job costing experience.
  • Strong Understanding of Construction Accounting: Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, project cost management, and financial controls.
  • ERP System Experience: Working experience in ERP systems, accounting software, tax preparation software, payroll systems, and Excel.
  • Implementation Experience: ERP system implementation experience (troubleshooting, etc.) desired.
  • Continuous Improvement: Passion for continuous improvement; experience streamlining policies and procedures.
  • Customer Service Focus: A customer service-focused accounting professional who is organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written, oral, listening, presentation, influence, and interpersonal skills.
