Position Overview- Specialty: CVICU

- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Shift: 12 hours, nights
We are looking for a skilled RN with substantial experience in Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, and Step-Down ICU units. A strong background in cardiac care is essential. Candidates must possess a valid Illinois RN License, along with certifications in CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS. This role will involve floating between various units as needed and requires availability for every other weekend and holiday shifts.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will:
- Utilize the nursing process while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patient care.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following established nursing protocols, policies, and state regulations.
- Document patient care in accordance with standards.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans as directed by physicians and hospital policies, including educating patients and their families.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives within the department or unit.
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other departments to support comprehensive patient care.
- Employ critical thinking skills to enhance patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate channels.
