About the Role
As a Software Development Engineer with AWS, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of key features that support our customers' needs. You will work closely with a team of builders to design and develop systems that ensure all parts of the service operate effectively with each other.
Key Responsibilities
- Design systems that ensure all parts of the service operate effectively with each other.
- Collaborate with peers to evaluate requirements and technologies that close the gap between customer needs and service functionality.
- Identify opportunities for optimization to make the service more efficient and cost effective.
- Share your knowledge as you help mentor and coach other developers on our team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
