The General Education (GE) Instructor plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality instruction that meets the established program and course objectives. The GE Instructor is expected to foster an organized and disciplined classroom atmosphere conducive to learning while imparting relevant workplace expectations to students.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Familiarity with educational environments, particularly the needs of adult learners.
• Capacity to create a positive and effective learning atmosphere.
• Insight into professional career pathways relevant to the students' fields of study.
• Passion, commitment, and enthusiasm for teaching.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Master's Degree or higher is required.
• Preferred: A minimum of two years of instructional experience in GE classes.
• At least 15 semester credit hours or 23 quarter credit hours in a subject area that supports the General Education curriculum.

Employment Status: Adjunct, hourly, non-exempt.

• Adjunct faculty hours are determined by the scheduled courses within a specific module. There is no guarantee of hours, and scheduled hours typically do not exceed 25 per week.
