Job Summary:

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in Primary Care. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide professional medical care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
  2. Assist with consults and daily visits, seeing follow-up patients in clinic.
  3. Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients, review patient records, and interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  4. Establish presumptive diagnosis, order laboratory and diagnostic procedures, and perform independent evaluations and treatment.
  5. Administer injections, immunizations, and oral medications, prepare written prescription orders for drugs and controlled substances, and triage patient telephone calls and provide consultation.
  6. Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits, attend required meetings, and participate in committees as requested.
  7. Utilize practice/hospital guidelines and standardized procedures in collaboration with the supervising physician(s) in providing medical care to patients.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Licensed as a PA-C or NP in the state of North Carolina and DEA license.
  • Ability to work independently (under indirect supervision).
  • At least one year of post-graduate experience as a provider in a related setting.
  • Experience and knowledge of an EMR system, voice dictation (Dragon), and strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with time constraints and use strong clinical judgment to determine when a supervising physician should be consulted.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a focus on not turning any patient away before exhausting all reasonable options.
  • Value working in a team-oriented, patient-centric culture.
