Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU Nurse to join our team at Ogden Regional Medical Center. As a critical care nurse, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to our patients.
Responsibilities- Prioritize nursing care for assigned critically ill patients based on assessment data and identifies needs for intervention.
- Demonstrate appropriate decision making, critical thinking and clinical judgment to make nursing decisions and identify healthcare needs.
- Evaluate and document each patient's response to medications, interventions, and procedures.
- Assist in the formulation, coordination, and implementation of the patient's Plan of Care based on the assessment of their individual needs.
- Monitor basic EKG, recognize rhythms and the ability to intervene as needed.
- Assist the physician with procedures such as intubation, line placement and chest tubes.
- Ensure ventilator, monitors and other equipment are functioning properly and able to troubleshoot alarms.
- Demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized and function well under stressful situations.
- Collaborate with fellow members of the critical care team.
- Current Utah State RN license in good standing.
- Associate's degree.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification preferred. Must obtain BLS or BCLS within 7 days of hire and maintain certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification preferred. Must obtain ALS or ACLS within 90 days of hire and maintain certification.
- 1-year ICU experience preferred.
