Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a Licensed Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with 6+ years of experience in design engineering and reviews for utility consulting companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in design of steel structures, concrete structures, geotechnical engineering, and foundations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform design reviews of civil/structural design components in support of bid/construction packages for substation projects.
  • Develop junior staff members and contribute to bids and proposal development.
  • Take a responsible engineer role on main client projects, overseeing work and ensuring quality control on design packages.
  • Site-visits to client substation facilities and occasional travel for client meetings and industry-related events.
Requirements
  • Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in Civil-Structural Engineering - Required
  • PE Licensure - Required
  • Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint & MATHCAD software, required
  • Experience with STAAD.Pro, RISA 3D, FAD Tools, SAFE, SAG10, and LPILE software, required
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation, required
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills
  • Team player with ability to communicate with clients and staff
  • Willingness to travel, up to 25%
