Essential Skills & Qualifications
Calypso Expertise (Mandatory):
- Proven track record in a Senior Calypso Business Analyst role, particularly in Calypso Upgrade initiatives and transitioning from legacy systems to the Calypso framework from start to finish.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Fixed Income, Derivatives, Money Markets, Advances, LCs, and Equity products within Calypso, including their operations and lifecycle events.
- Experience in deploying Calypso Pricing, Accounting, ERS, Workflows, Reporting, Task Station, and Scheduled Task functionalities.
- Familiarity with Calypso versions from 16.1 and later.
- Background in the implementation and maintenance of the Calypso Hedge Accounting Module.
- Experience in executing the Calypso Collateral Module with various integrations with other platforms.
- Over 7 years of experience in capturing business requirements and converting them into actionable User Stories for development.
- A proactive individual who seeks to thoroughly comprehend existing business workflows, system integrations, and interdependencies.
- Ability to swiftly understand business concepts, objectives, and processes to build trust and credibility with stakeholders.
- Proficient in using Atlassian tools (especially JIRA and Confluence) and Microsoft Office Suite (notably Excel and Visio).
- Understanding of Agile/SAFe software development methodologies.
- Strong grasp of Fixed Income, Derivatives, Advances, LCs, and Equity products, with the capability to articulate their operations and lifecycle events clearly.
- Familiarity with Derivatives Clearing affirmation processes.
Daily Tasks
- Engage with stakeholders to gather business requirements and document development user stories along with acceptance criteria.
- Utilize extensive Calypso domain knowledge to craft and configure customized Calypso solutions that align with business needs.
- Develop comprehensive current and future state solution documentation, including detailed process flow diagrams, to effectively communicate and gain buy-in from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with the Calypso Development team to ensure that delivered functionalities align with business requirements and provide value.
- Work in tandem with the Calypso QA team to create and execute test cases, ensuring the quality and precision of developed functionalities.
- Partner with Automation Engineers to establish automated regression testing coverage for developed functionalities.
- Actively participate in functional testing to confirm that functionalities meet business requirements.
- Provide training, support, and procedural documentation for Calypso business users.
