  • Lead activity sessions, instruct patients in various activities, and modify activities to suit specific groups.
  • Collaborate with patients to develop treatment plans and implement activity interventions that meet their needs and interests.
  • Engage patients in therapeutic activities, such as exercise, games, and community outings, to promote social skills and independence.
Requirements
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or equivalent certification in the area of specialty.
  • CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
  • First aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements.
