We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Acadia Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients in a behavioral health setting.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure patient safety and well-being through timely observation rounds and accurate documentation.
- Assist with patient transfers, lifting, and turning, as well as provide vital sign checks and maintain patient rooms in a clean and uncluttered state.
- Engage with patients in activities designed to promote treatment goals and respond to patient requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Apply de-escalation techniques to manage patient emotions and behavior, and assist with seclusion and restraints when necessary.
- Monitor behavioral improvements and communicate changes to the team.
- Reinforce skills learned from nurses, physicians, and therapists to promote improved physical and mental wellness.
- Provide comfort, dignity, and privacy to patients, and perform related CNA duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Document timely, accurate, and appropriate clinical information in patient medical records.
- Collaborate with other staff members to provide comprehensive patient care and support.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or license, per state requirements.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
- Previous experience in a behavioral health setting and knowledge of working with the population of the facility preferred.
