Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with expertise in infrastructure as code and DevOps methodologies to join our team at Apex Systems. This role involves automating and packaging networking solutions for product line teams, transitioning from traditional networking configurations to self-service portals and automated deployment pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automate and package networking solutions for product line teams.
  • Create self-service portals and automated deployment pipelines.
  • Leverage infrastructure as code tools and DevOps practices.

DevOps Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
  • DevOps tooling and methodologies (e.g., CICD, Git, Python)
  • Integrate with the existing platform development team responsible for building deployment pipelines.

Network Engineering Responsibilities:

  • Strong network engineering skills, including experience with Cisco Routers & Switches, SD-WAN, and Cisco ISE
  • Configuring and deploying network devices and infrastructure
  • Automate manual networking processes using infrastructure as code tools.
  • Understand underlying network architecture and design to package solutions for product line teams.
  • Perform traditional network engineering tasks while focusing on building reusable, self-service networking solutions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in network engineering and DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
