Job Summary:

Wauseon Machine / McAlister Design and Automation is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our production team. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload and load trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inspect and evaluate the quality of parts and materials used in production to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Assemble tooling and/or equipment per assembly drawings, utilizing mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
  • Inventory and manage parts and tools used in the assembling process, ensuring accurate tracking and restocking.
  • Assist the Shipping Department as needed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Operate CNC machines when required, demonstrating proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by the Production Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, with a strong emphasis on physical stamina and endurance.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints, with a preference for general machinist skills.
  • Forklift license is a plus, demonstrating ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
