Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wildlife Biologist to join our team at the U.S. Department of the Interior. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for reviewing recommendations and data input from field offices on wildlife issues, providing guidance and quality control to projects and products, and identifying impacts to wildlife habitat and threatened and endangered species.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with state and federal agencies, local interest groups, and tribal councils to coordinate biological decisions and habitat conservation efforts.
  • Develop and implement strategies to recover or mitigate impacts on wildlife populations and habitats.
  • Work closely with the state lead wildlife biologist to coordinate issues with local interest groups and other federal agencies.
  • Conduct inventory and monitoring data analysis to determine population trends and impacts.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams responsible for writing and reviewing biological input to environmental assessments and resource management plans.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
