The Printing Supervisor coordinates and oversees the activities of the printing area and operating workers, contributing to operational objectives by preparing and completing action plans, implementation of production, productivity, and quality.
This position is responsible for validating processes by establishing product specifications and measuring production within the printing department, leading by example and exhibiting professionalism in all areas when representing Berry inside and outside of the plant.
Responsible for supporting and maintaining safety programs and policies, educating associates about safety, and monitoring workflow, efficiency, and quality of all printed products.
Responsible for overseeing all print product sampling and control of printed plate inventory, including the tracking of current revision levels and the disposition of prior revision levels.
Consistently evaluating and documenting personnel performance as needed, responsible for the training of all Print Department associates, evaluation of their progress during probationary period, and recommendations for discharge or retention.
Responsible for the overseeing and completion of the Planned, Predictive, and Reactive maintenance requirements of the Print Department equipment to ensure highest levels of productivity and OEE.
Responsible for supervising, overseeing, and directing all print associates in their daily performance of job duties as it pertains to their productivity, quality of product manufactured, housekeeping, and safety.
Interview all witnesses and ensure the injured employee receives medical treatment, responsible for any and all additional tasks, assignments, and special projects as assigned by the Plant Manager.
Assume additional Supervisory/Managerial responsibilities for the facility in the absence of the Plant Manager and/or Production Manager, empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.
Respond to common complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community, requiring good phone skills and the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
