Key Responsibilities

· Develop detailed shop drawings and site plans that outline layout, permitting, and installation requirements in compliance with ASTM, CPSC, ADA, or CSA standards.

· Utilize equipment selection, customization, juxtaposition, and surfacing design to craft narratives and build engaging experiences.

· Communicate and collaborate with Sales Representatives, Quoting, and Installation departments, as well as Product Designers at the home office, to ensure projects meet client specifications on time and within budget.

· Coordinate work and project responsibilities within a regional team of designers.

· Evaluate preliminary project layouts for regulatory compliance.

· Create visually compelling presentations that effectively communicate proposed design solutions.

· Occasionally present design concepts to clients or end users.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (or experience with Rhino, Revit, ArchiCAD, Microsystems, or similar CAD software), Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as landscape architecture, landscape design, interior design, or architectural design.
  • Preferred experience in landscape architecture, landscape design, interior design, architectural design, playground design, amusement park design, or waterpark design.
  • Experience in applying regulatory or technical constraints to design solutions.
  • Familiarity with interpreting site plans and designing in topographically challenging environments.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • An online portfolio showcasing strong design and visualization skills.
  • Ability to develop and convey a project design narrative through engaging presentations.
  • Experience working with clients is preferred.
  • A passion for creating exceptional playgrounds.
