Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Therapy Services Technician to join our team at Scottish Rite for Children. As a key member of our therapy team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Therapeutic Treatments: Participate in and oversee the performance of non-clinical supportive activities involving the administration of routine therapeutic treatments delegated by and supervised by a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
  • Implement Therapy Programs: Implement physical or occupational therapy programs established by the PT, OT, or PTA, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and support.
  • Communicate with Patients and Families: Communicate with supervising PT, OT, and/or PTA, the response of patients/families; encourage patients/families to follow treatment regimens at home.
  • Collect Data and Ensure Patient Safety: Obtain data related to the interventions provided and ensure patient/family safety and comfort at all times.
  • Support Facility Operations: Promote the structure, culture, and philosophy of Scottish Rite for Children Sports Medicine Center, and demonstrate effective skills for verbal and written communication with physicians, patients of all ages and their families, hospital staff members, and other community-at-large professionals.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Responsible for daily cleaning tasks and infection control processes, such as disinfecting equipment and work areas that come in direct contact with patient and neatly organizing and preparing facility for next operational business day.
  • Assist with Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management, as well as requesting and restocking supplies.
Requirements
  • Education: High School education or equivalent. Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in working with children with disabilities or a therapy setting is preferred.
  • Certification: Certification in CPR.
